First I saw cover picture (as I've said, I judge item for it's cover) and then I watched trailer. I was sold!
We live a year 1995 and main character Kaitlin has just arrived to home from her a year long trip around the world. It's pouring rain and dark outside, tv yells in it's room and forecast gives strom warnings, nobody around.
You step for the first time in this new house, where your family moved while you were on the trip. House belonged to town's so-called psycho.
Your sister left note and told you that she is never coming back.
Where are mom and dad?
Story goes forward by your sister's journal pages.
Also you find several letters which are directed to your parents. You get new journal pages while you explore enough. Story opens more and more, mostly about your sister.
Just finished it and must say this was awesome and story board was sad but made great. I was afraid all the time because house is huuge and partly dark (you can switch lights on) and you can hear old house's noises all the time. Music sooth me when I find a new mixtape.
Sam tells story how she meet new friend in school and how they found connection. She believes your house is haunted by dead psycho and she loves punk and riot grrrl music and also writing. Your sister is main character after you, as you can see.
You can find mixtapes all over and listen them, you find letters that Lonnie (Sam's n ew friend) and Sam has exchanged between their locker.
Graphics are great, even it's hard sometimes walk with using arrows and also move your sight using mouse. And I have laptop so I can't use them well together at the same time.
Sam tells that she took some stuff with her and apologizes mess she left. Voice mail is creepy, someone cries after Sam and you can discover secret rooms everywhere.
I can't say more and even If I could, I wouldn't spoil everything.
It's more fun in this way.
You definitely should try if you're not into games where is a lot of action. I love this, I love Nancy Drew games so this is good.
I'll give this four tamagotchis from five.
ps. me and Sam both love writing, equal love to everyone and ginger ale!
